Plant Care:

How do I care for my plants?

  • Plant the combinations the day you receive them, and give the plants a thorough watering.

  • When the top inch of soil feels dry or the plants begin to wilt, water them again.

  • Feed the plants with Miracle-Gro® plant food after about 4 weeks to encourage full growth and maximum blooms.

How do I plant my arrangements?

The plants arrive already arranged, in a biodegradable pot with soil. Nestle the arrangement into the planter. Repeat with the other planter. Water the plants as directed.

Do I need soil for the planter?

Depending on the planter you use, you may need to fill it with enough potting soil so your new plants sit comfortably just beneath the rim. There is no need to remove the biodegradable insert. Just plant it right into the potting mix.

Where are my plants grown?

We love supporting local growers! Our plants are locally grown so they are perfectly acclimated to our area.

How big does my planter need to be?

Each size insert has a specific size range. The planter should be at least the first size shown, and ideally no more than the second size shown in the description. Ex: Little Pop planters need to be a minimum of 8”wide and no more than 12” wide.

Little Pop: 8”-12”

Big Bang: 12”-16”

Mega Bloom: 16”-22”

If my plants arrive and they look a little tired after their trip, what should I do?

We recommend that you take a photo, then plant and water them as directed. Let them get used to their new surroundings for 5 days. If they don’t perk up, take another photo and get in touch with us. We’ll make sure you’re happy.

How do I know how much to water my plant?

Once the arrangements are in your planter, soak them with water. Soak them again when any of the plants begin to wilt or when the soil feels dry. Poking your finger one inch into the soil in a few places around the plants will help you know when it’s time.

What possible lighting conditions exist?

Different plants thrive with different amounts of sun. Give them too much or not enough and you might end up with leaves that are scorched and crispy, growth that is stretched and thin, or fewer flowers than expected.

If your plants are partial to "Full Shade," that means they only like 3-4 hours of direct sunlight each day, and, not to get picky about it, but preferably morning sunlight.

Plants that like "Partial Sun" thrive when they get 4-6 hours of direct sun each day.

And those that want "Full Sun" will be happiest with 6 or more hours of direct sunlight each day.

Why do my plants not ship fully grown like some of the pictures?

We want them to have a long and fabulous life outside your door, so we time the growth and shipping of each arrangement so it reaches its peak growth stage right after you receive it.

How long will my plants last?

Your seasonal plantings will last through each season when cared for properly. Each insert is meant to last 4 months but in some cases it will last even longer!
